Tone is finally back on the Norwegian music-scene, after a two year break from the spotlight. She has taken her sound and image to a whole new and darker direction.
The new single Pinnacle has received a massive amount of positive respons from labels and Norwegian radio-personalities, and was listed on NRK P3 even before it was released. The production is done by super producer Kid Joki (Britney Spears, Astrid S., Julie Bergan). Though the song is harder and darker than what Tone has done in the past, her vocals shows a more vulnerable and softer side. The song is very different than what the audience expect from Tone, but this is the landscape she wants to be in going forward, and there’s is more music within the dark-pop genre coming.
The music video for Pinnacle was shot on a dirt road in Poland, inspired by the movie Groundhog Day. The video is very different from what Tone has done in past, with a more edgy and artistic visual expression. The mastermind behind the video is Swedish director Mads Udd.
